In January of 2000 a small group of friends sat down and philosophized, on the possibilities of joining forces to crate and establish a business that would offer a diverse, but yet unique brand of goods and services to the public of Trinidad and Tobago at very cost effective commercial prices.
Each had his own unique skill of trade, and was attempting to create a small business entity, of their very own. However the one thing they did have in common was the fact that neither of them had sufficient funds to invest in making a small business a successful reality.  So the idea of pooling together their resources in theory was a very good one. The problem came about with the issues of time, location, and to some degree personal commitment.

So while the idea was a good one and it would have facilitated the long term goals of all concerned. Of the three friends, only one sort to create the environment that was discussed using his two trade skills as an audio technician, and as a graphic designer/ computer technician.

The journey proved to be a very long, and eventually the idea was placed on the back burners as he was offered the opportunity to work with other companies in the field of Information Technology, and in 2001 he hung up the headphones and sold the turntables to pursue  a career as and IT Technician. May 2002 after working in the Public sector for some time he decided to open his own business in the field of computers, and by March 2003 had successfully opened an internet cafe and computer sales/accessories store in the busy area of Curepe/ St. Joseph.

In 2006, he wrote and co-produced a CD album and returned to his first love, ‘Music‘, on a part time basis. By 2009 he was back to designing graphics and had begun developing websites.

Realizing that what was, just an idea in 2000 had indeed become a reality, a name that would effectively represent all of the different aspects of business he was involved in, had to be given; and after much debate, and consideration, there was only one name that stood out... ‘ The Baseman Corporation’.
June 2nd 2010, founder and C.E.O of the Baseman Corporation Marlon Paul-Bentham, cemented the company as it was originally intended; a company based and built on the strength of smaller companies.
